Geotechnical Engineering
As a separate division of LC Engineering Group, Inc., CalWest Geotechnical provides geotechnical services from project inception to completion. With a fully licensed soils analysis laboratory located on premises, we have a full array of testing equipment and computers to perform geotechnical engineering analysis and design. Our services include preliminary geotechnical investigations, slope stability analysis, landslide remediation, liquefaction analysis, and seismic analysis. In addition to the preparation of investigation reports, our office provides geotechnical site observations and deputy grading inspections during grading and construction, ensuring that all geotechnical aspects of the project are in general compliance with the geotechnical approvals and regulatory agencies.
Civil Engineering
Our civil engineering department provides services ranging from single family residences to complex hillside projects, commercial centers, municipal and infrastructure projects. We work in concert with the architect, client and all other project consultants. Utilizing specially designed computer programs, our office analyzes the data necessary to create plans for all facets of civil engineering design. Among the services provided by our civil engineering department are Tract/Parcel Maps, Lot Line Adjustments, private and public works improvement plans, grading and drainage plans, erosion control plans, SQUIMP/SUSMP/LID/MS4, SWPPP, State NOI submittals, QSP services and complex Hydrology/Hydraulic Analysis.
Structural Engineering
Our structural engineering department is skilled in handling all types of projects including single family residential, multifamily, commercial and industrial buildings, as well as site structures such as swimming pools, sports courts, structural decks and cantilevered driveways. Our in-house geotechnical and civil engineering expertise can provide a beneficial advantage over other single-faceted firms. Our structural engineers thrive on problem solving and specialize in complex hillside projects such as hillside retention and stabilization systems including tiebacks, soil nails and similar systems. Utilizing some of the most current design programs and techniques, our structural engineering department takes pride in finding effective and practical structural solutions for our clients.
